When looking for a local church one question you should ask is, What do they most cherish? In an age when the Church is embracing political movements, moral causes and periphial issues as the main cause, Randolph is determined to focus on that which brings God the most glory. We have adopted as our motto to the praise of His glory. This phrase, found three times in Ephesians 1, is the reason for our existence. God’s glory drives us.
Ephesians 1:11-12 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
Below are three distinctives of Randolph that might help you best understand who we are.
These two thoughts cannot be disconnected. God’s glory is the reason for our existence and our greatest joy. We were created to bring praise to our Creator. We believe God gets the most glory when Jesus Christ is most loved, adored, trusted, obeyed, and worshiped. Everything revolves around our Savior. It is Him we proclaim for the glory of God.
Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ
Randolph has a strong focus on communicating accurately and clearly the life-transforming truths of the Bible. Because we believe that God has spoken to us through His Word, much of our time together is given to the pursuit of understanding what God has said. We call this expository preaching and teaching. From children to adults we seek to train and disciple in the Word of God through the systematic study of Scripture.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
Our goal is to create a community of believers who live life together, an atmosphere where church becomes a lifestyle of relationships instead of simply a Sunday event. We have been called into a family and we seek to live as a family. Several ways we aim to foster relationships include small groups, dinners, special trips, men’s & women’s fellowships, etc.
Ephesians 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
