The Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies at Randolph Street launched in May 2011. Learn more about the Academy through the introductory sermon on March 20th, 2011:

The purpose of the Academy is to provide an intense biblical and theological education in the context of the local church in order to equip men and women to serve the church in a gospel multiplying effort.

The elders of Randolph Street Baptist Church see the Academy as a valuable part of our over-arching burden: to see the glory of Christ even more known in this region through the planting of local churches that are theologically God-centered, gospel saturated, mission-minded and characterized by expository preaching. In order for this movement to be sustained for generations, pastors (men) and church leaders (men and women) must be trained.

We desire to see theological truth be learned and practiced within a local church family experience. While the training of our men (especially our Church-planting pastors) may at times involve partnerships with other training institutions and seminary modules, we believe the greatest training for Church planting in Appalachia is in the midst of a local church.
