The Doctrines of Grace–The Glory of God in the Salvation of Sinners

Our theology seminars and classes are designed to be thorough and systematic introductions to various truths of the Holy Scriptures.

Our fall “semester” style class will cover what is historically called the “Doctrines of Grace” or “Calvinism.” These are simply names given to describe the biblical teaching of how God saves sinners. In this class it will be our pursuit to have a clear, thorough and Biblical understanding of the doctrine of salvation. Our prayer is that God will use our time together to stir in us deep affections for Him and His glory as we grow in our understanding of this great truth: “Salvation is of the Lord.”

This class is being taught by Randolph Street Church's Lead Pastor, Dr. Jason McClanahan. Pastor Jason grew up in the greater Charleston area, as did his wife Ginger. Prior to this ministry they planted Providence Baptist Church in Westerville, Ohio. He graduated from West Virginia State University (B.S. Social Work - May 1997), Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity - May 2001) in Virginia Beach, and The Master's Seminary (Doctor of Ministry - May 2008) in Los Angeles.

Jason moved back to Charleston and began his ministry at Randolph Street Church in September 2007. He has three primary responsibilities at Randolph Street: preaching/teaching, leadership and vision. He and Ginger have three children: Ty, Olivia and Julia.
