What We Believe and Teach
Below you will find a taste of what we are about. Above all things, the gospel is our passion. We see it necessary, not only for our eternal salvation (justification), but also for everyday Christian living (sanctification). We are driven by the gospel and essential Christian truth to which Christians have held for centuries. We prefer to leave questionable matters and theological fads for coffee shop discussions and friendly conversations elsewhere.
Our Member Statement of Faith is what one must believe to join our Church. It contains the bare essentials of what one cannot deny and still consider himself a follower of Christ. The Elder Statement of Faith goes into a bit more detail and describes what one must affirm to be an elder at Randolph Street Church. Our Church takes comfort in knowing all our elders are doctrinally and practically in agreement.
Our Constitution and Covenant contain Scriptural principles and logical deductions of how we believe our Church should best function for the glory of Christ. Thankfully, the Lord has given clear instructions for Church government infrastructure; however, the Scriptures do leave some room for each Church to frame their Constitution in way that best serves their unique body.
